| Vista Home Premium 64 bit | I have the same issue, except until a few days ago Internet was working fine. The for no apparent reason it just stopped. Have also checked the firewall, that all seems OK, the browsers are all unblocked. I am suspicious of the DNS settings as I can ping out with no problem. But as soon as I type in a web address it come back with "cannot find server". This happens with both Firefox and IE. I tried switching from "automatically download DNS settings" to forcing it to use the specific DNS settings provided by the ISP, but this made no difference. The network adaptor seems fine as I can see other machines on the network, talk to the router, and pind as mentioned above. I also have "Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : domain_not_set.invalid" - am not sure if this is important or not? It sounds as if it might be related, but not sure, also not sure how to change if it is a potential source of the problem. Am running Vista Home Premium 64 bit... Any advice welcome.. thanks! Chris |

| Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: connects to network but no internet I just stumbled upon that my browsers connect to secure sites but at a slow speed and does not connect to any not secure site. The connection remains slow even if I'm right next to the router, the only way I'm able to view the other sites if I plug in directly to my router via ethernet cord. |
