RDP refuses to connect through tunnel

Hi, for my work I need to remotely take over systems.

From the office I use a combination of putty (to setup an initial connection to a jump-server on dynamic port 1080), freecap a proxy client to route applications through 127.0.0.1:1080 and Visionapp to make multiple tabbed RDP connections to systems behind the jump-server.

Al worked perfectly in Windows XP until I received a new laptop with Windows Vista (x64). I have to admit it is not the first Vista system I work on and I did not have any problems whatsoever till now.

Using the tools mentioned above I'm unable to tunnel the rdp connections. I get an error stating that the "Remote Desktop can't find computer "xxx"....The strange part is that I use more tools with this setup, like vmware infrastructure client, vnc viewer, mremote and the old Terminal Server Client software. They all work!
Just the RDP client and Vissionapp (with i assume uses the internal RDC client) do not let themself to be routed trough the tunnel.

I used Wireshark to monitor network activity and I could see that RDP was querying our local DNS server to resolve the remote system's hostname. Freecap is configured to use remote DNS name resolving and like I said other applications are working fine.

In other Vista configurations I've been using I did not had any kind of problems. It is though the first Business edition I use... tried to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional no success. Tried a clean install of Windows 7 Professional no change also.

Someone please?

Kind regards.
