Hi everyone,

I am having real trouble connecting to the web with my Dell inspiron laptop. I was able to connect 6 months ago without any trouble but since I have returned from traveling I keep getting the "Limited or No Connectivity" message when I try and connect to internet. I have BT wireless. There are three other computers in the house that are all able to connect without any problems. Two are using Vista Home Premium the same as me and connecting through a wireless connection and one is using XP and is connected to the hub.
I have the wireless key correct and have taken a few steps to try and remedy the situation. These include "Automatically get new IP settings for the network adapter" as well as turning off my computer and the router. I have run out of options and would really appreciate some help.

Many thanks Olly

I just fixed a computer in the neighborhood yesterday with this same problem. Solution (if you're using IE) is as follows:

1. In IE, click "Tools"
2. Click "Internet Options"
3. Click "Connections".. If any connection shows in the box, highlight it and click remove.
4. Click "LAN"
5. Put a check box in Automatically Detect Settings (other boxes should be clear)
6. Click "OK"
7. Click "Advanced"
8. Click "Reset" by the Reset Internet Explorer settings.
9. Now, turn off modem and computer
10. Restart modem and computer

You should now automatically connect to the connection you were having a problem with.
