Adaptor Error?

Hello everybody. My name is DragonYugi. I have a serious problem which has dealt since my internet provider changed my modem to a DSL cable. Since then, some internet pages will not load. I can wait 10 minutes and yet they do not load. At first I thought the internet needs to get things straight with the new computer and such in a few days... Till this day, after 3 months from the changing of the internet connection type, my internet failed me. I started to consider this a serious problem so I started browisng the Control Panel and such very closely in the past weeks. This is what I found out:

Taskbar
In the lower right corner, where an icon with 2 computers and a globe appear, when I role my mouse over it, 2 conenctions appear:
RDS
Access: Local and Internet

Unidetified Connection
Access: Only Local
The first one is obviously the name of my internet provider. I always log on to RDS. Now.. the second one.. What does it mean? Does it affect my connection any way? If it is bad... how can I remove it?

Control Panel > Network Connections and Management
After going to the Control Panel, then click on the Network Connections and Management (I have my PC in romanian, which is "Centru retea si partajare" so I kinda tried to translate that), I, again see 2 connections, but this time some more info:
RDS (Public Connection)
Access: Local and Internet
Connection: RDS
And to the right 3 options... one of them being Disconnect.

Unidentified Connection (Public Connection)
Access: Only Local
Connection: Local Area Connection
To the right, only 2 options.. No Disconnect button.
How to fix these?

CMD
Well, I thought that I should type ipconfig/renew in my CMD. But guess what message I recieved...
Windows IP Configuration
An error occurred while renewing interface Conexiune de retea locala: unable to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out.
Note that "Conexiune de retea locala" is the Local Area Connection I talked about above. What does this mean?

Letting Vista search for errors
After seeing the CMD I got a little scared. So I let Windows scan for errors. Guess what it found...
Windows found no problems with the Internet Connection.
Do you wish to report a problem to Microsoft? To create a solution some extra details about what didn't go well are needed. The report will be sent at the next online sesion.
Send Info.
Okay... That is NOT true. I have a problem. But before I disabled IPv6, it said that I have a problem with the Adaptor of the IP or something like that. Disabling IPv6 seemed to make Windows think that now there is no problem. But... there is! I need help! Badly.

Solutions I tried
* Disabling IPv6
* Restarting PC an endless ammount of times.
* Deleted the old "RDS" and made it again. No change.

Please. I need help... this problem has been bugging my mind for weeks.

DY

im not familiar with your particular network setup but if RD5 is your ISP and the other is not. you can remove the other connection by going into control panel>network and sharing>change adapter settings. Pick the correct adapter for the incorrect network and right click and chose delete. Im not on a vista machine right now so Im doing this from memory. try and work your way thru it. when you have removed it reboot both your pc and your router/modem

Hope this helps
