Am using a Hp with Vista Home Basic 32bit SP2, am having a problem in connecting to LAN internet connections, it takes time to identify then at the end says Unidentified Network. Is there a problem with my modems or what could really be the course of this? It drives me nuts to keep on waiting whenever i turn on my laptop. Please help..

First things first. In order to help we need to know what hardware you have could you fill in your system specs (lower left corner). You could also tell us about your networking setup. Is it a homegroup, at school, or work? what modem, router, wifi cards, etc

Am using a school network, and about the hardware then i cant provide that as that i dont know how to find out which network hardware am i using.
