Someone Please Help; Plugged in Xbox 360 via LAN now wireless is screwed!

Ok, so I was in the process of trying to get internet access on my Xbox 360, so I plugged it into my laptop (Toshiba Satellite L305-S5921) and as soon as I did my wireless connection went from full connection to either local only or identifying (one of the two). So I no longer have internet on not only my laptop, but I still can't figure out how to connection share to my Xbox. This happened before, but somehow it fixed itself? I tried reinstalling the wireless drivers to no avail; it didn't fix the problem. So if anyone can help me diagnose this problem, PLEASE. This is pretty urgent because I need to be able to use the internet for homework.

Thanks

Re: Someone Please Help; Plugged in Xbox 360 via LAN now wireless is screwed!

Oh yes, 32bit. My router is a Netgear WGR614 v7, however it is not the router or modem that isn't functioning because I am wirelessly connected on this laptop right now.
My Wi-Fi adaptor is an Atheros AR5007EG.

Oh yes, and sorry if this is not enough information, but this is really all I know. I mean, I'm no novice to computers but networking is one of my weaknesses lol.

Ok the wireless connection on the Toshiba laptop is not working properly. This is aside from the fact that I have tried multiple times to get it to connect to the xbox... They are unrelated except the wireless problems did not happen until I plugged in the xbox to the ethernet port.

Also, I just looked and in like the connection map it says it's connected to an unidentified network. How do I get it to identify the network?

Ok... Thanks for your help. Right before I saw this post I did go into the Device Manager and manually uninstall the driver and then just reinstalled it by clicking the search for "plug and play blah blah" and it now finally works again.

However, I still don't know how to do the ICS with the xbox, and am scared to plug it into my ethernet port again because I don't want it to take out my wireless again.
