| Vista Ultimate x64 | Wireless adapter keeps getting disabled. Alright, so here's the deal. I have a Lenovo n100 laptop with Vista on it. For some reason, the wireless keeps getting disabled on it. From what I understand, as long as it's connected to a network it's ok. I've checked all the power management options under power options and device manager; both are set to not turn it off ever. I've installed the latest drivers and even uninstalled them, letting windows install the default ones. When the computer turns on the light is on for a bit, but after about 5-10 mins the light goes off. When I do a diagnose and repair, it tells me that I need to turn on wireless capabilites. When this happens the wireless light on the laptop is off. If I click the switch to turn the wireless off then on, the only thing that happens is the bluetooth turns off and on. Once I do a repair, it seems to be ok and won't turn off. What could be causing this? |

| Vista Home Premium 32 bit | Re: Wireless adapter keeps getting disabled. A couple of things to check, first check your mac address and make sure it's enabled, then clone it and save. See if this solves it. If not then reset your router. Depending on make and model, reset button....hold for 10 to 20 seconds. This will reset router to factory default settings. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Wireless adapter keeps getting disabled. Thanks for the reply but that isn't the issue. I can connect to networks all day and night. Basically I have this. I turn the notebook on and the wireless and bluetooth lights come on when windows loads and all is fine and dandy for about 5 mins or so. The wireless light will flash every few seconds (I'm assuming that this alerting me of wireless networks as it does this as well after I do a repair) but after the 5 min time period the light turns off. Also, The bluetooth light is still on when this happens. I can flick the switch for the wireless and the bluetooth will turn off as it should but when I turn the switch back on only the bluetooth light comes but no wireless. Now if I do the diagnose and repair, it tells me that I need to turn my wireless on. When I do that, it works like a charm. I can let it sit all night and the nic never turns off. I've turned all the power managment features off that I'm aware of. And if I connect to a network in the first 5 mins, the nic stays on and I'm connected until I restart or end the connection.
