| Vista Business x64 | All connections to shares lost after attempting file copy I have some Vista Business workstations on a local domain with a 2008 Server. The workstations can connect to the server's shares and navigate through them (there are several). But when I attempt to copy a file to one of the local workstations, the copy starts but does not complete and I get a message: "Windows cannot access \\Server\Share Error code: 0x80070035 The network path was not found." At that point, I lose network connectivity and have to restart to get it back. I can copy files *to* the shares without difficulty. I tried switching "LmCompatibilityLevel" in \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa from 3 to 1, but that had no effect. Also tried assigning drive letter to share, using IP instead of system name, and disabling firewall on client and server. The Windows XP workstations on the domain have no problem copying files from the shares. Your input is welcome. Last edited by redh4wk; 4 Weeks Ago at 01:35 PM.. Reason: Added details |
