the wizard cannot create the connection problem

Hello!

I have a problem with my connection. I'm on Vista x64 sp2. Yesterday I downloaded a program called EnhanceMyVista (to make taskbar icons like those on Win7) and then disabled some services in Optimization tab to make my startup run faster. But then, after restart, my broadband connection dissapeared! When I tried to make a new PPPOE connection i got an error: "the wizard cannot create the connection" ! In the EnhanceMyVista i clicked "Undo Changes" but nothing changed. also did system restore but nothing! The same when uninstalled the EnhMyVista program.
I did some googling on the issue and i think the problem might be in the RasMan service not starting - when i try to start the service in the services.msc i get the "the dependancy group or service failed to start - error 1068". This means that some dependencies that RasMan needs do not start? When trying to start the Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol (uopn which RasMan depends) I get "error 1717: Interface unknown"

Please help! thank you

Thanks for the replies!

-"Start the telephony service"
My telephony service is already started, and set on manual.
It seems that the problem is in Remote Access Connection Manager, Remote Access Auto Connection Manager is dependend on RasMan so I guess that's why it cannot start

as for the Kb article i'm not quite sure what to use from there? Edit registry strings?
