Gateway lost after reboot

After replacing my hard disk i reloaded Vista Business 32 with SP2 and all my application. This is on a Lenovo Thinkpad T61.

I use static IP addresses on this PC.

The problem is that I loose the gateway IP address whenever I reboot the PC.

Searching this forum i found various posts where people lost their gateway. I downloaded an Microsoft patch I found which resolved the loss of the gateway after a wakeup. However, when I installed the patch i got a popup telling me that the patch did not apply to my system.

I did a route print and it showed the correct IP address for my default gateway.

Anybody has any ideas how to fix this?

Reset your gateway. I'm assuming that the gateway in question is your modem. Turn it off, unplug ac adapter....plug it back and turn it on. Then hit the reset button on the back, you'll need a paper clip and unfold it so it will fit the hole of the reset button.

I found the solution on Google.
Doing a netsh int ip reset did the trick for me. I had to reboot, then enter IP, subnet and gateway.
After the next reboot all IP addresses were still there.
