something has changed with net config

I used to be able to use vista64 box to see and connect to my windows server2003 box. I can see the box on my network list, i just can't access it. From the windows server 2003 side, i can connect to my vista box. I recently reinstalled my server2003 os. I also used to be able to use IE or FF to http to the 2003 server. Like: http://win2003 but no more. Seems something is shut down or blocking or something.

What have i missed? I turned off the firewall on the server 2003 box. Hmmm....dunno...please help.

Turns out it was a WINDOWS firewall problem--added a port exception, and presto.
