I have forgotten the Username and Password for the Login ID... and it is not the default (Username: *blank* Password: admin).

I have heard you can hold the reset button on the back of the wireless router but will this reset my wireless network? By that i mean... will i be able to connect with my laptop still through that wireless network or will i have to set it up again?

But I don't know what has been changed... I set this up at least 5 years ago.. Is there even a process for setting up a wireless network?

most likely, you wont have to change anything unless you need to open or block ports for certain games or programs.

Well the whole reason I need to get into the settings is to get my NAT open for when I am gaming... it limits my connection and it sucks :(

Isn't the default username for a Linksys 'password'?

But, I think you can change your password through the router's setting page.. by typing the router's ip address into your url bar on your browser.

lol, my bad.

Try finding the reset button on the back of your router. All routers usually have one. Use a pencil or something for around 30 seconds to reset the router back to the default password.

The default address is usually http://192.168.1.1

You should be able to reconnect right after you reset the router. I do it all the time and don't have to configure anything.

Well actually I have found my password and don't need to reset it. But thanks for your help! (I'm pretty sure it would have worked if I would have tried it)

Well that's good. You should keep your user-names and passwords somewhere... I keep mine in a binder (makes things a lot easier). :D
