Vista BT Home Hub Printing Printer Server Issues

I have followed the simple guide on how to connect my printer to my PC via my BT Home Hub from here: Use your BT Home Hub - Use it as a print server - Windows Vista guide | Wallace IT, unfortunately regardless of what printer I try it with I am faced with 'Printer Busy or Error' even when it's not busy; the printer does not acknowledge that it has been asked to print. I have tried this on XP, Vista and 7 with the same response.

The only thing I can see that could possibly affect it would be my Airport Express router that is plugged into the Home Hub via Ethernet using DHCP (and its IP address from the Home Hub is fixed at 192.168.0.6).
The Airport Express's IP address is 192.168.1.1 and issues IP addresses using DHCP from 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.1.200.

The BT Home Hub however, for standard ethernet connections and WiFI connections, uses 192.168.0.1 as its IP Address and then issues them from 192.168.0.2 to 192.168.0.254 to other devices.

The printer IP port mentioned in the guide and the one I have found that corresponds to the my printer plugged into the USB socket on the back of the router is 192.168.1.253. Not a standard IP address for that router.

Any suggestions on what i should do?
