Removing Old Networks and IP addresses

My Motherboard failed and I was forced to intsall a new one. Of course it had a different brand of Network Card in it. I had set the previous name for the network and set it to a static IP for my network at home. I want to use exactly the same as it is basically the same PC just a new Motherboard but it wont let me. Say the network name already exists.
If I go to Manage Networks where I expect it to be there is nothing there to remove.

So question is how do I remove this non-existant adaptor and network name seeing as I cant get to it anymore???

No replies so I had to do it the hard way. Found the old network adaptor in the registery and deleted it from there. Was hard trying to remember exactly what it was called. Then did a search on the network name and found 1 reference and deleted that. Appears to have worked but don't like messing around with those sorts of registry entries.
