The full message is error 1075: The dependancy service either does not exist or has been marked for deletion
This started with a tidserv!inf infection. Norton End-Point seems to have deleted all related virus infections, however, I am now unable to start the DHCP service. I have to set a static IP in order to connect to the internet.
I believe tdx.dll was identified as a virus and deleted. it was listed as a dependancy of dhcp but had no descriptor. Currently it is not listed as a dependancy.
I cannot view network shares from this PC nor can I view shares that I host here on other PC's. Only this computer shows up in net places.
I did an sfc /scannow and it told me audiodev.dll and mofd.dll were corrupted and the files in the store have been corrupted.
I had to take ownership with the admin group in order to replace them with extracted copies from my windows cd, but I when I went back to reassign trustedinstaller as the owner it was not listed as an option.
my cd is without service pack and my installed service pack is sp2.
can anyone be of assistance.
