Solved Problem connecting to my wireless network

Hi everyone, I recently had to format my hard drive and reinstall vista onto my laptop. Since then, I haven't been able to connect to either my home router, or more recently (since I moved to my Dad's) to his router. Every time I try and connect it says "Wireless association failed due to an unknown reason." My only options are "Try connecting to Livebox-3268 again", which results in a repeat of the original message after an attempt at repairing, or to "View available wireless networks", of which there aren't any.

Any help with this situation would be much appreciated, I can post any details of my laptop and router on request, although I am a bit of a beginner with computers so you may have to bear with me if I need a few extra steps to clarify how to do something.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Open Device Manager and see if there are any red x's or yellow flags next to your network adapter. Next, open a command prompt and type the following without the quotes and paste all the results back here, "ipconfig /all". Also check, open IE, click Tools, Internet Options, Connection Tab and then the LAN Tab and in the window that opens make sure that all the check boxes are clear, if not clear them and close IE and re-open IE.

Well, I opened the device manager but there were no red 'x's or yellow flags. All the boxes are clear in the internet options of IE too. Here is the ipconfig/all data:

Does this tell you anything?

My Computer

I downloaded that driver but on install it says:

"The operating system is not supported. The software will not be installed. Setup will now exit."

I am using Vista business. I also checked the compatibility at the start of the installation and my laptop (Vostro 1510) was in the list.

Should I uninstall the other drivers I installed first? As you are aware I am a little bit out of my comfort zone with this problem and may need more detailed responses.

Interestingly, a driver I found on the dell website was exactly the same as the driver you recommended except that it ended in 2 instead of 1. Though I installed that first and it hasn't worked.

Sorry for my delayed replies I only get limited internet access on my dad's computer since my laptop stopped connecting to the internet.
