Unable to Connect

I just got my laptop home from Geek Squad and I can't connect to the internet. At first I could connect to the network, but couldn't get online. Now when I try to connect to my network it says that it could not connect to it because it is not receiving a response from the network. I've tried it with two different networks, one secured and the other not, and got the same for both. I've tried resetting the router, unplugging it and plugging it back in, I tried resetting my wireless adapter, nothing. I suspect it's either a hardware problem due to Geek Squad malpractice, or possibly something screwy with a system update.
Any help would be... helpful.

i think you need to upgrade the driver version for your wireless adapter since you tried connecting to several networks and having the same problem then it is isolated it is not on the your wireless network but it is on the adapter.

Have you tried to move closer to the Router? This is when Windows finds a Router but the Router doesn't find the Computer

Hope This Helps,
Josh

Open Device Manager and see if there are any red x's or yellow flags next to your network adapter. Next, open a command prompt and type the following without the quotes and paste all the results back here, "ipconfig /all". Also check, open IE, click Tools, Internet Options, Connection Tab and then the LAN Tab and in the window that opens make sure that all the check boxes are clear, if not clear them and close IE and re-open IE.
