Can't connect to LAN Wired or Wireless

The internet stopped working on my Daughters Toshiba laptop. Upon investigation I used MalwareBytes to remove about 600 infections of various types. Now both the wired and wireless connection icons show x and the diagnose and repair tab in the control panel's Network and Connection Sharing Center does not help. If I click on either one of them I can bring up a thing called Connectivity Doctor which says both of them are disconnected and it fails when it tries to fix the problem. If I boot the machine with ubuntu I can access the internet so I think the machine is physically OK. Anyone have any ideas as to if there is anything I can do except to reinstall Vista?

Hello!

Can you please attach your MBAM report to your next post, so our security expert can see what infection she is dealing with, and then can you please run another MBAM full scan and attach that report as well.

Thanks!

Richard
