Hi DannyBoi3k,
Welcome to Vista Forums!
First, check the following article to see if it helps:
How to Use Wireless Broadband (Dongle) on a Ps3 | Computersight.
********************************************************
If that doesn't work, try the following You Tube video showing how to setup the connection:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDAcmrOVTdk
*********************************************************
If that doesn't work, try the attached PDF file at the end of this post to see if it helps.

If that still doesn't work, you have to run the internet off of your computer and plug an ethernet cable into your ps3 from your computer then go to your connection on your computer (Vista: Control panel > network and sharing center > manage network connections) right click > properties > sharing, and select allow other users to connect through this computers internet connection.
Then on the ps3 go to settings and change the connection to wired connection and set it up from there.
*******************************************************
If that doesn't work, open your Network Connections. You will see the 3 modem, ignore this for now. Further down you will see 2 ethernet connections, Local area connection, and 1394 connection. Right click on Local Area Connection and Bridge the connection. Then open the properties of your 3 modem and under Advanced click on internet connection sharing. Install your ethernet cable from the back of your computer directly to the PS3. On your PS3 network settings search for the new connection. You should be fine from there.

It could also be an IP address issue. Try the following:
http://www.5min.com/Video/How-to-Fin...ur-PC-40302872
From your laptop Do this and input "ipconfig /all" into the command prompt.
It will show you your dns server IP's you need to input on the PS3
OR if using those don't work and you still have a DNS problem, try the following for DNS problems:
Go to your PS3 network settings. Manually setup up your connection instead of automatic. Leave all the settings on automatic except for DNS settings. Manually enter
Primary: 208 67 222 222
Secondary: 208 67 220 220
That's your PS3 ready. Now go to your PC. For Vista follow these steps. Network sharing center>next to "mobile connect' in your case click on 'view status' > properties > continue > networking > Click on IPv4 > properties > then in the window that pops up enter the same DNS primary and secondary numbers again
Primary: 208 67 222 222
Secondary: 208 67 220 220
Click 'ok'. Under the 'sharing' tab double check that sharing is enabled.
Finally disconnect your internet connection then reconnect to apply all the new settings.
*************************************************
I hope this helps. If not, post back and we'll try some other options.
Good luck!
