REVO Uninstall = Class Not Registered (No Network)

After deleting several unnecessary programs via REVO Uninstaller, as well as removing all junk files, my computer lost sound and MediaPlayer errored out. I have also lost all information regarding the WorkGroup which was created on my computer.

Network discovery is on (the only sharing option able to implement) and Windows Firewall exception is set to allow this feature. I have also gone through my Services and checked their Status and Startup Type.

My system is not locating my network, letting me map connections or diagnose/repair. The error states "Class not Registered". Also, I am receiving a Security Alert regarding Malware protection.

I am currently on said computer connecting to the internet via IE9 so my connection is there.

Unfortunately, I guess I know enough about computers to be dangerous, but would appreciate any assistance!

Hi pstwkr,

Welcome to Vista Forums!

Do you know when this problem began (when you deleted the programs)? Try a System Restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem began. Here's the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76905-system-restore-how.html. Be sure to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points. If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two. NOTE: You will have to re-install any software and updates you installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for the updates. You will also have to re-delete the programs, but be careful with Revo as it sometimes suggests options to delete which are not appropriate, so be sure to only delete those that you are CERTAIN apply only to the programs you are deleting (and if in doubt, leave it alone).

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

The first thing Revo did was make a restore point before removing your programs.

If you are unable to get to system restore try safe mode.
Restart your computer and before the windows starts to load press f8
You will be taken to a menu that will give you the option to start in safe mode.
