hi kesume

first i would like to thank you for the help you gave me on my broadband dropping out problem. I installed the two programmes you recommended and i found some nasties on the first scan in both programmes.
After the advice you gave me my broadband signal has not dropped out.
One more question, can you tell me what ACTIVE X is and what it does and do i
need it on my computer.

regards calmat

Welcome
I think this bulletin from MS, gives all the necessary information on Active X. It can, also, be the cause of security problems.
Its is used as a means for Virus and Malware to get to your computer.
What is an ActiveX control?
