    Broadband stopped working and system 'hang'

    Hello all,



    I'm using vista home premium for my notebook. Lately each time i connected to my broadband it can connect but then after 2 or 3 minutes the system will stopped. I can't disconnect my broadband or restart/shutdown my laptop. If i try using the same broadband to other notebook it works perfectly.

    Can anyone suggest a solutions for my problem? should i reinstall my OS?

    Hello and welcome to the forums:

    I would suggest that first you run a full AV on your computer..
    Download and run a full scan from malwarebytes...

    This way you will rule out any virus etc.

    I would boot into safe mode to see if you have the same problem there, here's how..

    I also would do a sfc scan, here is the info you will need it is very easy. After you run the full sfc if it finds any problems then run the sfc 3 times.

    You can also look in the Event Viewer and find the logs so you can see what's going on, but before we get there please follow the things above first.
