No internet using ethernet to modem

Hey guys, I have an issue here with my Vista Home Premium (obviously). First off, everything was working fine with my internet, I shut the computer down, and when I booted it back up, my internet stopped working. I have used different ethernet cords and I have connection from the modem. I have tried updating the driver, I've recovered the system back to the date prior to it working. I have disabled the firewalls and verified the ipv4 is enabled and ipv6 is disabled. I go into ipconfig and it shows "Media Disconnected", although I have activity lights on my ethernet port. Any suggestions or help would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
