This is more a question about a home network, so I apologize if this is in the wrong area.
I have a Qwest modem that connects via DSL. Wireless things like my laptop and Xbox can connect to it. Plus it is hardwire connected to a desktop. That is in one room. I recently bought a router from Encore Electronics that I have in a different room. It can wirelessly connect to the modem, but when I turned the router on, only the computer that was hardwire connected to the router could connect to the internet. No other devices could. I got a tip that I should get an additional router that is hardwire connected to the modem, which then connects to the router in the other room. Is this what I need?....P.S. I hope that this makes sense.
