vista wireless frequently disconnect

im havin Toshiba A300 satellite with windows vista home premium 32bits i bought a new linksys wireless router & when i try to connect it to my lap it connect for a short time then connection is dropped & it wont connect again if only when i reboot my lap (i have another lap which is Hp with windows 7 also im usin my mobile wi-fi & they r working proberly without any disconnection) i think it is in my lap, can any 1 help me plz?!!!

thnx all 4 ur reply but im still having the problem i have tried everything & checked the security settings of my mcAfee anti-virus they r all fine
my router is linksys wireless-N ADSL2+modem router when i use the ethernet cable i get connection normally but the problem excists with wireless .. i checked microsoft support & found that the router is compatible with my lap but i really dont know what to do .. now its telling me that the security key is wrong & wont even connect although im sure of writing it correctly :S

Also go to Device Manager,Network Adapters,Power Management and check Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power is not checked.
