Win 7 install created new Vista networks

I had a network with 2x Win Vista PC's, 1x Win XP PC, and a shared printer.
I replaced the Win XP PC with a new Win 7 PC.
Now the 2x Win Vista PC are on separate networks: Network 2 & Network 3.
The Vista Network 2 PC can no longer see or use the printer, which is cable attached to the Network 3 Vista PC.
Seems like the Win 7 installed new, separate networks for the existing Vista PC's.
The network hardware is: Comcast modem > Dynex router > Cisco ethernet switch > 3 PC's.
I did not change any network connections, hardware or software on the Vista PC's.
I simply removed the Win XP PC, and replaced it with Win 7 PC on that network cable.

Hi & welcome to the forum.

I must ask for further information.

What do the vista Pc's say about these new networks?

Or

Is this just reported on the seven PC? Please post pictures of the various network & sharing screens. OK?

Each PC is now on it own individual network:
Win 7 PC > "Network" > Internet
Vista PC "A" > "Network 3" > Internet [this PC has the printer attached via USB]
Vista PC "B" > "Network 2" > Internet

The previous, common network for Vista PC "A" & "B" is now gone. So "B" cannot see the printer. File and printer sharing is allowed, and worked correctly until I installed the Win 7 PC.

I understand that A & B cannot join a Win 7 Homegroup; that's fine. I just want B to access the printer on Vista A.

Hi again,

You could re-run the network wizzard on each PC & set them all to the same workgroup & network. What do you think about that?

Not really sure at the moment what has happend, so, including the above, could you post a map of each network.

None of the Network & Sharing Tasks work:
Connect to a Network:
"Cannot find any additional networks"
Diagnose why cannot find additional networks:
"no wireless adapter installed" - I did not want this anyway
Set up Connections:
connect to internet - I don't want that; it already works individually
set up wireless access - don't want that
set up dial up connection - don't want that
connect to workplace
dial up or VPN - don't want that
Manage network connections
this just displays my current local area connection

The 3 different network maps are, per my previous post:

Win 7 PC > "Network" > Internet
this PC can see the Vista "A" PC
Vista PC "A" > "Network 3" > Internet [this PC has the printer attached via USB]
this PC can see the Win 7 PC
Vista PC "B" > "Network 2" > Internet

But the Vista "A" and Vista "B" PC's cannot see each other.
I made NO changes to Vista "A" and Vista "B" PC's. I simply plugged in a new Win 7 PC, and Vista A & B separated into 2 new, separate networks.

Hi,

Rename each of the Vista Networks. Look here & rename them all to the same name by clicking on the customise link: -
