I shut down my computer and it had updates to install. the screen showed:
"do not unplug or shutdown while your computer installs updates, Installing 1 of 1"
it stayed like that for a couple hours and I figured their was a problem so I unplugged and removed the battery to restart the computer.
When the computer restarted all of my network connections were lost. i could not connect wireless or hard wired to the internet.
when i went to the network and sharing none of the icons were there.
when i click diagnose and repair the message shows
"windows has confirmed that this computer is currently experiencing a network connectivity problem"
"windows has found a problem that cannot be repaired automatically"
everything was working great the night before and after the failed update my networks dont work. I am assuming it has to do with the failed update.
