Minecraft server problems

Okay so ive watched every video on youtube i could find on how to make a server for minecraft from windows 7/ vista. But they always download the software and they hit the button "run" which dosent pop up on vista when youre downloading new software. You get the options "open" or "save" so i dont know how to run it.

Look in the place where you have downloaded it to & then run it from there!

Try this location on your PC: -

C:\Users\"YOUR user account name"\Downloads

Swap "YOUR user account name" to the logon name for your user on your computer!
