Turning off WD.

Hi, Vista Business 32 bit. I have WD turned off and would like to ask if anybody can tell me how to make the Network and Sharing/Sharing and Discovery entries to be off except for Password protected Sharing.
With WD off they all come on, I would like to edit the Registry but don't know where to look.
Any help would be appreciated.

If I am right you want "Wirelless detection" off & password protection on. Is that right?

Could you please explain a little more are you wanting sharing on for a a "Wire" connected network?

If so just do it in "Network and sharing"! Otherwise, I am lost as to what you really want to achieve.

I have re-read my question and am pretty sure it explains what I am asking for, but after reading your confusing answer I'll let it go.

Sorry you find that confusing, but if you look in network & sharing you will find the settings for password protection etc. etc. etc...
