Okay i have 2 vista's both running home premium and one 64 and the other is a 32 and niether can connect to my wifi, i just enabled a WEP. They connected just fine before, my win 7 computers also connected to the wifi as well and both are working fine. The vistas got a red "x" by the wifi instead of a signal strength indicator so i went into properties and changed the settings from open to shared. WEP connection was selected so I the typed in the password on both but it would not connect and just gave me the diagnose window i selected diagnose and all it says is that it did not recive a response from the router. is the router not sending a signal to the Vistas or is there sonething i missed? Also changing the key index did nothing (dont know what its even for) Also the WEP password is in hex format although i doubt that changes anything

Hello. Have you tried using cable to connect ? If so. maybe use different cable , set the router up using good wired connection with computer , then unplug and see if it works. Also. check your networking cards for updated drivers. You would need to visit the Device manager to see if they are up to date.
