A few network questions ....
1. Is it better to be hard wired then wireless?? I get 300mb wireless n @ 2.4ghz and 100mb wired.I'm cunfused!!!

2.What is the advantage of duel channel 5mhz and 2.4mhz?? I get only fair coverage @5hmz and excellent coverage at 2.4mhz. I tried all the various settings Fair is the best I get.Did I waste my money??

My tv is hard wired...Any advantage to wireless @ 5 Mhz even at Fair signal? I get 125mb with a fair signal.

I think the consensus is that hardwiring by CAT5 is the best for HD video such as blu-ray and AVCHD. If you don't want to string the wire, then you have to live with what you get.

Look at this for a discussion of the dual channel 5 Mhz-

most electronics (microwaves cordless phones etc) use the 2.4ghz band and causes interference with wifi signals. 5GHz is not used by a range of electronics so less interference. 300mb is the advertised speed. the actuall speed is quite lower. BUT it should be slightly faster than 100mb wired. 1000mb (gigabit ethernet) is a different story. hope i helped in some way
