Why doesn't my WIFI light come on automatically?

My laptop will connect to the internet automatically upon startup and works fine but I'm just wondering why the little wifi light on the bottom left hand side under the keyboard never lights up. It will do it if I manually turn it on by pushing F2+FN.....just curious if it makes any difference (I havn't noticed anything) and if there is a way to set it up correctly.

Do you use Ethernet or WiFi to connect to the internet?

I see, its probably just bug. If it doesn't affect your internet performance, then it's not a problem.

I'm not 100% it doesn't affect the performance at all. I don't really notice a difference but I havn't paid too much attention or wouldn't know how to find out. What I do know is that if I manually turn it back off by pushing FN & F2 I will lose my connection.

That is normal. Your WiFi adapter is supposed to turn off if you manually turn it off.
