Just wondered what the normal temperature of a PC was when it's running, when you're gaming for example?

The cooler, the better.

Anything above 45 - 50 for the CPU when running under load should be considered bad, and the system temp (sometimes referred to as the chassis internal temp) should be about 10 - 15 degrees less than that.

For best results (for me anyway), your target CPU temp (when idle) should be around 30 - 35 degrees. Build your cooling with that in mind. Thermaltake makes some very good chassis and cooling products (my old computer, before it got fried by lighting last week Tuesday, used the Tai Chi chassis, as seen in http://www.vistax64.com/general-discussion/110939-show-us-your-rig-12.html#post533290 )

Yeah, personal questions are allowed, I suppose, if they are in context to the subject.

How did I learn so much about computers? Honestly, I got started about 20 years ago or so at school. I signed up for the computer class as a way to skip phys. ed., and I got hooked. The rest is just mostly tinkering about, and learning the hard way.

College did help a little (When I did my A+ back in 1999, I knew more than the lecurer, and he constantly told me to shut up so that the rest of the class can learn something - doh!), but nothing beats hard-core experience, which can only come with time.

I am doing my a+ at the moment, nearly finished though so not far behind you guys;)

To true about experiance though, I started back in 84, how computers have changed.

A+ is generally an "Entry Level General PC Repair Technician" course. It is considered the foundation of most professional computer training.

It is internationally recognized, so I suppose there are colleges in Belgium that offer the A+ course, amongst others.
