| ultimate 64 SP1 | Re: Dell 530 OC help Hi venom762 ...welcome to the x64 forums ![]() you cant OC a dell my friend, the BIOS is locked down to prevent tampering..... the ONLY way possible to OC it would be through windows via a few dedicated apps..... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS!! the problem you'll have is even though we may find you an app capable of upping your FSB, the board itself has no voltage control, so it will become unstable very quickly... TBH if you wanna OC, grab a new 775 mobo, remove your Q6600 & replace with a cheapo C2D & build a dedicated OCing rig.... SK |

| vista ult | Re: Dell 530 OC help Hi venom. The dell 530 with the q6600 is a great overclocker, sorry you guys are unfamiliar with it. There's a totally easy tape method similar to the old amd 'tape over the pin' method. Here's a good tutorial with pics. enjoy Dell Inspiron 530 Core2Quad q6600 minitower cheap overclocking - success! |
