| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Q6600 temp, is this normal? I have the SLACR and yes it's overclocked otherwise I won't be posting it here. It seems weird as when i try to increase the fan speed from speed fan, nothing seems to change... why is this? Last edited by TheRekz; 03-01-2009 at 05:38 PM.. |

Instead, I went to the page and snipped the relevant information and attached it to my post. The link I provided was to a program which can reveal the type and build revision of the processor in your system so that you can compare it. For the sake of completeness, here are the links from Intel: SLACR Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor Q6600 - SLACR SL9UM Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor Q6600 - SL9UM |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit SP2 | Re: Q6600 temp, is this normal? You manually set your voltages when you overclocked yes? you didnt leave it on automatic did you? What voltage and clock are you running? and have you disabled intel speed step and / or C1E? (all this can seriously affect your idle temps) That said dont worry too much about your idle temps (unless of course they are ridiculously high ) , its your full load temps you need to worry about.Get yourself the latest version of Real temp Real Temp - CPU temperature monitoring and some software that will push your CPU , Id recommend Prime 95 or if your feeling daring Intel burn test Stability / Burn-in - EXTREME Overclocking Run real temp alongside Prime 95 for a good hour , take note of your max temps on all four cores and report back here with them |
