Overclock Help

Hey. I could need some helpful tips in overclocking my Intel Core i7 950 3.07 GHz
I know there is a lot of guides and stuff about OC but some personal help would really be appreciated.
Check my specs for more info on my system.
I really want to make this overclocking the right way. I OC'd my last Core duo 3.16GHz a bit but it never felt safe.

So any tips or anything to get me started would be great

Re: Overclock Help

Hello hawkin90,
The first thing you need to do is to go in to your Bios and see how much of it is unlocked, Dell along with most manufactures lock there Bios's to stop overclocking, so take a look and see what you have available.

Re: Overclock Help

Yeah just found out I can't overclock. Don't have access to edit anything important in Bios. I OC'd my grahpics card yesterday though..but still, a little irritating.

Re: Overclock Help

Pity, thats the problem with manufacturer built machines, but it's a nice rig.
