hi... in order to overclock my laptop from 1.79GHZ to 2.00GHz i need to find my PLL... but i have no idea what that is or where to find it... if spent half the day looking on google and taking my computer apart but alas(:D). no luck... if anyone could help that would be great.

Will you still be asking this question when your laptop melts? Honestly, don't even think about it. Laptops are designed with very limited cooling.

yes i did use software from windows :). i use setfsb... you need your pll which is found on the mobo... most manufactures like to hid it

i understand if you dont have a sony but look in cracks... ur pll should have a manufacture id on it eg mine was ICS, there is also RTM... and others...
BUT yes i managed to overclock to 2.2GHz and it runs fine. BUT setfsb does not save your clock so u need a setfsb auto thing. if you want it ill help you overclock.
