q6600+cm 212 plus temps? to much thermal paste?

i just switched my cpu to a CM 212 plus on a q6600 and the temps are 32-36 idle is that normal ? im not sure if i applyed to much thermal paste because i only used heatskins with flat bases but this one had small gapes between the pipes so i used thermal paste to fill the little gaps then applied like 2 grains of rice on my cpu after i spread it there was like half a mm on my cpu

in tests with the cm 212 plus with q6600 stock the idle temps are only at 22 degreez

is that to much? should i reapply, if so how should i apply it

    the clocks are currently stock

anyone know what type of thermal paste comes with the CM 212 plus? it just says coolermaster thermal compound kit

im thinking of reapplying thermal paste on my gpu to, do i just apply like the cpu?

ignore your idle temps , they are most likely miles out anyway

load the cpu up by running prime 95 (small fft's) let us know what your temps are after half an hour of that

i would recommend arctic silver 5 for thermal paste and use the insructions on their site to apply

make sure you clean the old off properly with an alcahol based cleaner (they are air drying)
