installing SQL Server (Dev) x64 on Ultimate x64

So I'm trying to get this installed (along with VIsual Studio 2008) on my new Inspiron 1720 notebook (Core2 Duo 2.2GHz with 4 Gig RAM) running Vista Ultimate x64.

[1] Does SQL Server 2005 x64 work on this platform (or do I have to use x86)?

[2] Is there a prefered order to install them?

I've had issues installing the SQL Server portion (not the VS2008 however). Any hints or help will be very much appreciated...

Developer edition of SQL Server works with Vista. Though you will have some trouble installing it.

First of, your computer must be named only with uppercase letters (no special characters or numbers). Then you must have properly installed and configured IIS 7. These are some links that may help you:
