Hi TheToeCutter,

Welcome to Vista Forums.

I use the free Wise Registry Cleaner without any problems on the 64 bit Ultimate Vista. You might give it a try and see how you like it.

CCleaner seems to work OK for me: that is, the machine is still running fine after about 5 runs of the program.

Box is 2x Xeon 5410 on Tyan S5392 MB, under Vista Bus x64.

Re: 64-bit registry cleaner for vista.

Hi ToeCutter (I only did mine this arvo!)

Am I right in assuming you are prepared to purchase a Registry Cleaner or are you wanting a free program?

As far as Registry Cleaners for purchase, my preference is CleanMyPC Registry Cleaner by CleanMyPC Software (CleanMyPC Registry Cleaner - Official Site of CleanMyPC Registry Cleaner) or TuneUp Utilities 2008 (TuneUp International - TuneUp Utilities 2008).

I recently trialled TweakNow RegCleaner Professional v3.6.0, but I did not like this one.

I guess CCLeaner's built-in Registry Cleaner is a good option as far as a freebie goes.

Kind regards

Re: 64-bit registry cleaner for vista.

Found this one yesterday, works great. It will "install" ASK TOOLBAR also, after installing program just go to add/remove programs (programs and features in control panel ) and "remove" the toolbar.
