Hi
I installed the latest version of itunes for my 64 bit Vista and it crashes everytime that i try to start it up. I would get the message that Itunes Has Stopped Working. I googled the problem and got the vbscript issue and tryed that but it did not work. Now i get a buffer overrun detected message from quicktime. I believe that this might be the issue that preventing the startup of itunes so I uninstalled all of the codecs that I have installed and reinstalled itunes and quicktime but still no luck at starting it.

Does anyone else have this problme and might know how to fix it?

Thanks

Hi rich2103,
Welcome to the forum! :)
Here is what I would try:
1. Uninstall I tunes then reboot
2. Uninstall quicktime then reboot
3. Go to C:\ Program Files directory and remove folders named Apple and Quicktime and Ipod.
4. Go to Apple - iTunes - Download iTunes and reinstall I tunes.
Hope this helps. Please let us know! :)
