    Adobe Reader

I changed computers that now has Vista and can't figure out how to get Adobe Reader to work. I think I downloaded the free version correctly but I can't get it to work. Must I buy it again or is it possible to retreive it somehow? Thanks, Charlie

    Re: Adobe Reader

Still can't get Adobe Reader to work on my new Vista OS computer. I have tried to download the free version with no luck. I have turrned of the UAC and changed the compatibility setting; but I get messages telling me that the file is damaged and cannot be repaired. Does this mean that I must buy a new Adobe program? Or does any one have any new suggestions? I really need to download a form and it requires Adobe to do so. Thanks, Charlie

    Hi CDEXTER,

    This tutorial should help you.

    Installing Program Error

Make sure that you are installing Adobe Reader 8.1.1 from the source:

Adobe - Adobe Reader Download - All versions

If you still have no luck, then you can try the free Foxit Reader program instead.

    Foxit Software

    Adobe Reader Error Message

Lately, I've been getting an error message when I try to open a document with Adobe, "file is damaged and cannot be repaired." See attached. Any suggestions? I already tried uninstalling and downloading, and repairing the program, but the problem persists. Thanks.
