Firefox/Azureus crash overclocking issue

Hi, I just recently overclocked my cpu (Amd athlon64 3800+)stock 2.4 GHz, to 2.83GHz. I have gotten my processor up to this lvl before without facing these issues, my firefox will crash every now and then and azureus does crash every few minutes... This never used to be a problem but i may have done something wrong in overclocking this time. I have ddr400 (200mhz).*2x1gb sticks* The fsb clock is at 257mhz and multiplier is 11. I maximized the voltage for my cpu so that it can run. My dram was configured so that its at 180mhz(with overclocked cpu it is boosted back to around 200-205mhz, checked with cpu-z.) Any idea what im doing wrong or i have missed? do i need to change the voltage for my ram? I tried to change that *other multiplier thing, supposidly stock is x5, i put down to x4, no difference....

i dont know much about overclocking...never really done it

but from most things ive heard and read maxing the voltages for overclocking is bad, its destroys the life expectency of the cpu ie. 6 years down to 6 months type of thing

is this true??

Actually, the cpu voltage should be a bit higher than my motherboard lets it, accoriding to some test photos of this cpu, the voltage should be over 1.53V where mine is at 1.52. I'v had this computer for about 1 and 1/2 years and it's been overclocked since. I dont face any problems with my cpu. I may encounter a computer crash but thats only when im running one of the new gen games, but I barely use my computer for games and im a contributer to F@H, so i want maximum output. I dont believe overclocking decreases the life span, it puts the cpu at its maximum stress lvl, but i have a scyth ninja heatsinc, and aslong as the temperature is cool it will be fine.

Ok, I got the solution. It seems my cpu vid voltage was too low, i used the % multiplier to increase 1.425V too 1.552 (Using voltage 1.425V 110% multiplier). The multiplier is x12 and at 239mhz. My speed is stable at 2.87Ghz.
