Hi ,I own an HP mediacenter with Vista ultimate 32. I have a pattern editing program which has run perfectly on Vista up until I had to do a system restore around May 07. Every update I have downloaded and tried to install since then has failed. The screen gets stuck on "checking for previous version"...so I finally have to abort. I tried to run an update I have dated Apr 07 and this one launches without a hitch...of course, this update was already in my backup files..every update I've downloaded since does not proceed.
I've tried installing in selective startup mode, run as admin, even added the program as exception on DEP ..to no avail. I also purchased a brand new program and did a fresh install.
I did see in the install document that the following dll 's failed to self register: keylib32.dll, skca32.dll, however, I can't manually register them as I get another error which right now I can't recall since I'm not at my computer...sorry I can post it later if necessary.
Sorry for the long post. I'd appreciate some advice as to what to try...I've run out of ideas
