Windows Mobile Device Centre + Vista 64

I just bought a new phone, (o2 XDA Flame) and I can't get syncing working.

Whenever I try to install Windows Mobile Device Centre, it fails. I run the installer, it seems to do nothing. Under control panel -> Hardware, and onthe start menu, theres a link to Windows Mobile Device Center, but it doesn't actually launch anything. No errors, just nothing comes up at all. Except for the first time I ran it, when it said something about installing, but then disapeared.

When I try to connect the phone to the PC, it fails - Can't find the driver. The phone came with a CD, but there weren't any drivers on it.

Theres also now an item in Windows Update (Windows Mobile Remote Adaptor), but trying to install that fails.

I am running Windows Vista Ultimate x64, with SP1 - every update besides the one mentioned is installed.

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, I would apreciate it.
