Lock Down Vista Business

Anyone tell me how to restrict a user on Vista Business to only run one single program? I'm talking no control panel, no search, nothing except my program, log off, shutdown, and restart. Have basically gotten all programs taken off the start menu and am stuck. Need to disable the access to the user account and the search box.

Eeek! I'd encourage using Group Policy changes instead.

Did you check that no hokeys are usable?

Group policy works best for this. You can also use NTFS security to lock the user out of areas. You can use the guest account rights. Only allow them access to that one folder and a location for data to be saved.

Re: Lock Down Vista Business

You might need to belong to a domain to use it. You could change them to guest users with only rights to that app in their login.

GPEDIT? Use MMC and add the Group Policy Object Editor snap-in through that. Seems to work fine for me in Vista Business x64.
