Command line ?Scanner?

Hey all,

I'm after a program that will log exactly what my computer is doing and how, so if i open a program it will show me "start devmgmt.msc" for when device manager is opened, or something like that, as I am into doing my little batch files (as we all do ) - Does anyone know if a piece of software exists?

Thanks!!!

Thanks for the reply, a key logger will monitor input, but I'm after the operations that are running in the background, like if you change a tickbox, I wanna know the command line to change it :-) But like I said, thanks for replying, it's appreciated!

Hi Rome,

This is about the closest program you can get for the things you said you want to monitor: Process Monitor It needs to be customised a little to get the data you need.

Quote:
Process Monitor is an advanced monitoring tool for Windows that shows real-time file system, Registry and process/thread activity. It combines the features of two legacy Sysinternals utilities, Filemon and Regmon, and adds an extensive list of enhancements including rich and non-destructive filtering, comprehensive event properties such session IDs and user names, reliable process information, full thread stacks with integrated symbol support for each operation, simultaneous logging to a file, and much more.
