Tried it. Didn't work.
IE7 x64 still asks to install activeX control for flash.

This is why they put IE 7 32-bit in all x64 OS. Most applets and add ons don't work in 64-bit IE.

There was something that it worked on my IE 7.0 x64, but it was too buggy they shut it down. Forgot the name.

Hi guys
Please excuse my ignorance here... I am also having the same problem with Adobe Flash. How do I check if I have a 32 or a 64 bit browser? And if I have a 64 bit how do I switch to a 32 so Flash can work properly?

Hello Mams, and welcome to Vista Forums.

You would only have the 64 bit Internet Explorer if you had the 64 bit Vista. In the 64 bit Vista you have both the 32 bit and 64 bit version of IE, but Vista uses the 32 bit one by default.

You can check to see by clicking on Help (Menu bar) and on About IE. If it does not say 64 bit, then it is the 32 bit IE version.
