Flash on 64 bit Browser

This article was interesting, but Adobe Flash Player did not work in my 64 bit IE7 browser afterwards. Still only works in the 32 bit IE7 as expected.

[OC]ModShop - Get Flash Working on 64-bit browsers

What do you guys think?

Re: Flash on 64 bit Browser

Tried it. Didn't work.
IE7 x64 still asks to install activeX control for flash.

Re: Flash on 64 bit Browser

This is why they put IE 7 32-bit in all x64 OS. Most applets and add ons don't work in 64-bit IE.

I tried it with both IE x64 and Fx x64 - no go.

Re: Flash on 64 bit Browser

There was something that it worked on my IE 7.0 x64, but it was too buggy they shut it down. Forgot the name.

I say Microsoft shot themselves in the foot on that one, Having all this 32bit IE/WMP/Shell software on 64bit doesn't really make most developers feel the need to support 64bit anytime soon

He might be talking about the flash beta version having 64bit?
