iTunes & Quicktime Bugs/Errors, Help!

Just got this Vista x64 up and running. Downloaded and installed the iTunes x64 version. When I run it, the window opens up is all black, only some of the words such as the file, edit and those stuff are white. I can't see pretty much everything else. Been Googling for solutions but unsuccessful. Maybe someone can help out here?
I guess I can say, I can live without iTunes, but I just depend on it too much to play music and manage them.

My Quicktime has the same problem on some sites. Take the apple movie trailer website for example. It's all black screen when I click on the trailer button to view it. Only if an external QT window opens I can watch it.

Anyone come across bugs or errors like these? Hope someone can help.

Have you perchance installed the Vista Codec package? If so, remove it and install iTunes and QT again. If not, try installing it.

How do I uninstall that Vista Codec Package? Does this guarantee iTunes will work? Or QT on websites for that matter? Just wondering.

Okay, I just did that. Installing all that Codec stuff, it still doesn't work. Sigh. Wonder if I'll ever be able to fix this problem. Maybe I should head over to the Apple Help support forums eh?

Sorry that didn't work for ya - not sure what could be the problem, as I don't use iTunes....

Heading over there might be the best idea...

Of course, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?
