| Windows 7 Professional 64-bit | Running multiple versions of Firefox I have both Minefield 64-bit and regular Firefox installed but whenever I run Minefield, Firefox always appears. I suspect its something to do with profiles but not sure. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 MAK, OpenSolaris 5, Gentoo 2008.1.... | Re: Running multiple versions of Firefox Swarfega - best bet is to have separate profiles for each version - then create shortcuts for each version on the desktop forcing each particular version to load each particular profile - but this can be disastrous if one version is set as the default web browser, as clicking on a link in one version may open the other version, and since it would not be forcing a profile, it might actually cause you grief as the other version may try to open the profile that you are already in.... Another way would be to run ProfileManager and remove the automatic profile selection switch so that you will be asked every time you load either version which profile you want to use - but this can be disastrous as you may click the wrong profile.
